SpV Specialty vessels address a broad array of support functions and market sectors. In the offshore Pipelay and Construction segment, vessels may be designed for and dedicated to pipehaul duties. While serving the IMR (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair) market, our vessels may carry one or more remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), support divers and their advanced systems, and even assist in the subsea maintenance of trees, jumpers and other underwater production infrastructure. In some deepwater markets we provide dedicated vessels to tender Floating Production Storage and Offloading facilities (FPSOs) while in other areas we play an integral role in the collection of seismic data. Especially in the North Sea but also in other key markets, specialty vessels may be equipped for Standby Rescue in order to provide personnel rescue, first aid, shelter, and safety patrols for manned offshore facilities and rigs. Specialty vessels may be also used for oil recovery, oil spill response and well stimulation.
